A new job :)

Another new job! This one is really fun, I applied on freelanced.com and this morning after finishing a test for the guy at 2am I got hired. It's for a Mouse/rat themed based cardgame and boardgame with a cartoony military based feel. I'm basically designing tons of mice/ferrets, rats and other kinds of rodents. The guy is really nice and we seem to be on the same page. All those years of playing magic and yu-gi-oh.... finally paying off.

We were Driving to cavendish to meet a friend and we saw this taxi!!! Kelly, Keegan and I did the concept art for this, so it's really cool to see it on a car.

Office Space

My god.. I just watched this movie again after ages and ages of letting it stew. (That's when you are obsessed with a movie and you've watched it a bunch of times then you get a bit bored of it, you gotta not watch it for like a year or two..) It is SO awesome! I was thinking of doing some caracatures of the guys in there. If you haven't seen it...WATCH IT!

I've also been watching friends again from season 1... I love friends.

Withdrawal symptoms..

I've been CRAVING a hot chocolate and/or a cappacino from Cocoa Cha Chi... They are so badass, and no cup of poo ricoffee can compare... But because money is so tight lately, we have had to cut out certain awesome things. Again a short post but one full of deep meaning and sadness :(

3ds covers!

Happiness is mine! We finally got our new 3ds covers, so cool :) They have aluminium on the outside and look epic. Kelly's one was broken on the hinge though :( but it still works, and looks epic green. Not art related I know, but something cool none the less.

SUCCESS!

WOOT! A cheery hoorah and big whoop. My computer can rest...kind of. Today was the deadline for our first module of animation for our Something Phishy production for Old Mutual.  As I type this our exports are travelling head first into their new dropbox home and the client will without doubt find us something to add or fix. Either way we are most likely done or close to it. I can now refil my blood, sweat and tears and carry on with other work.

I must say a huge thanks to my ladyface Kelly and my buddy Keegan for letting me get into this job with them, and for all our drama and fighting we at least managed to pull this off. Hopefully it will lead to bigger things in future!

First Post

Okay so this is my first post! So I see it only fitting that I post a drawing! And as is mandatory, I will use many exclamation marks! Well I was hesitant to start this blog knowing my tendency to be quite lazy with these sorts of things... I check my facebook maybe once a month? Pssshhhh I throw caution to the wind!

As an added note I am currently listening to the latest Opeth album Heritage. Which I find really strange and completely out of what I would have considered Opeth's "scope". I say this having only listened to the album once, and already it's grown on me.

And as promised... a drawing! Granted a slightly old drawing, but I'm in the mood for toast.
